A career spent in people development — and a simple idea about the questions that change the way we work, lead and connect.
Frank Thompson has worked in people development for over 30 years. His work focuses on communication, curiosity, leadership and the power of better questions.
Having lived in The Bahamas, the Middle East, and Cyprus, he now lives and writes on the North Yorkshire coast from where he runs his practice as an integrative hypnotherapist and NLP coach specialising in addiction issues. He writes and speaks for schools, leadership teams and organisations that want to move beyond surface-level conversations and have the patience to ask the next question instead of giving the first answer.
In the Summer of 2025, he was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, a relatively rare autoimmune condition that causes the immune system to attack the body's own tissues.
A portion of the profits from The Question Key will be donated to organisations supporting people living with Myasthenia Gravis.
Practical sessions for students preparing for interviews, presentations and the wider world of work — and for the educators supporting them.
Sessions for leadership teams, managers, and people-facing professionals who want their conversations to do more of the work.
Each keynote can be tailored from 20 minutes to a half-day workshop. Below are the talks Frank is most often asked to deliver.
Preparing great questions is fundamental to experiencing a successful life.
